Reports To: Clinical Director/Director of ABA Services
Job Summary
The Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) is an independent practitioner who designs, implements, and monitors individualized Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) programs, primarily for individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) or other developmental disabilities. This role is responsible for clinical oversight and providing supervision to RBTs.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments, including skill assessments (e.g., VB-MAPP, ABLLS-R) and Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs).
- Develop comprehensive, data-driven treatment plans and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) utilizing the principles of behavior change.
- Provide clinical supervision and training to Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) and other paraprofessionals, ensuring treatment fidelity and competence.
- Consult with parents, teachers, and caregivers to ensure consistent and effective implementation of the treatment plan across all environments.
- Analyze data continuously to evaluate the effectiveness of interventions and make necessary modifications to programs to ensure client progress.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Education, or a related field.
- Current certification as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
- Active state license or certification (if required in the service location).
- Prior experience managing a team of RBTs and writing complex behavior plans.
