Job Summary
The Psychiatrist is a licensed physician responsible for the comprehensive psychiatric care of patients, including diagnosis, treatment planning, medication management, and providing high-level consultation to the clinical team.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct initial psychiatric evaluations and diagnostic interviews.
- Prescribe, monitor, and adjust psychotropic medications.
- Order and interpret laboratory and diagnostic tests relevant to psychiatric treatment.
- Collaborate with therapists, social workers, and primary care providers on patient care.
- Provide crisis intervention and psychiatric risk assessments.
- Document all clinical services accurately and in compliance with state and federal regulations.
Qualifications
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree.
- Successful completion of a residency program in Psychiatry.
- Current, active, and unrestricted state medical license.
- Board Certification or Board Eligibility by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN).
- Current DEA registration.
