Reports To: Clinical Director/Clinical Supervisor

Job Summary

The Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) provides clinical counseling services, including assessment, diagnosis, and evidence-based psychotherapy, to individuals, families, and groups. This role focuses on promoting mental and emotional well-being, personal growth, and adjustment to life challenges.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct initial comprehensive clinical interviews and diagnostic assessments using the DSM-5 criteria.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor measurable, client-centered treatment plans and goals.
  • Provide individual, group, and/or family psychotherapy using modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), or Person-Centered Therapy.
  • Maintain timely, accurate, and ethical clinical documentation in compliance with state and federal regulations (HIPAA).
  • Provide crisis intervention and safety planning as necessary.
  • Collaborate and coordinate care with other healthcare professionals, schools, and community resources.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Counseling, Clinical Mental Health Counseling, or a closely related field from an accredited program.
  • Current, active state licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) (or equivalent title such as LCPC, LPCC, etc.).
  • Minimum of 1 year of post-licensure clinical experience in a relevant behavioral health setting.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in ethical practice, therapeutic techniques, and case management.
