Reports To: Behavioral Health Clinical Director / Executive Director
Job Summary
The Program Manager / Program Director holds a senior administrative role responsible for the successful operational management, clinical integrity, and fiscal health of a specific behavioral health program (e.g., Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP), Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP), or Residential Treatment Center). This leader ensures efficient service delivery, staff supervision, and adherence to all regulatory and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Operational Oversight: Manage the day-to-day operations of the program, including scheduling, resource allocation, facility management, and supply inventory.
- Staff Supervision: Directly supervise and mentor clinical and administrative staff within the program, conducting performance reviews, managing HR issues, and approving timecards/leave requests.
- Quality & Compliance: Ensure continuous program compliance with all relevant state licensing regulations, accreditation standards (e.g., Joint Commission, CARF), and internal policies.
- Fiscal Management: Monitor the program’s budget, track revenue and expenses, manage utilization rates, and provide input for strategic financial planning.
- Program Development: Lead the development, refinement, and evaluation of program curricula, client flow, and treatment protocols to ensure evidence-based practices are consistently implemented.
- Community Relations: Act as the primary liaison between the program and external stakeholders, referral sources, and regulatory bodies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Social Work, Counseling, Public Health, or a related field. Master’s degree is strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in healthcare or behavioral health administration, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role.
- Strong working knowledge of state and federal regulatory frameworks, including licensing and accreditation requirements.
- Proven ability to manage a budget, analyze program data, and drive operational efficiency.
